At Ednovate Virtual Academy, my mission is to lead a school that equips students with real-world skills while supporting their growth as whole people. EVA is a space for reinvention and possibility, where young people can take ownership of their learning and their future. It’s a school built to challenge outdated systems and create room for students to define success on their own terms—with flexibility, purpose, and community. Growing up in Ypsilanti, Michigan, I saw how easily smart, talented students could be overlooked or tracked into lower expectations. Even though I was placed in honors classes, I wasn’t truly prepared for college—and almost dropped out. That experience fuels my belief that we must design schools differently: with rigor, support, and the belief that every student deserves a chance to thrive.
As a leader, I strive to model clarity, equity, and care. My approach is shaped by over 15 years in education and a Master’s in School Counseling, where I learned how to listen deeply and support the whole person. I lead with authenticity, embrace vulnerability, and create systems that help people do their best work—without losing themselves in the process. Whether I’m coaching a teammate, partnering with a family, or launching an innovation, my goal is always to align action with values. Growth, wellness, and meaningful connection are the foundation of how we move forward—together.
