I am the youngest of seven children, and growing up in a big family shaped much of who I am. When I started high school, the college counselor already knew me through my older siblings and immediately placed me on the path to college—something that changed the course of my life. Interestingly, three of my siblings chose careers in education, and for years I insisted that I would never follow that path. But I was wrong. In 2009, I had the privilege of returning to my alma mater to work, and it was there that I discovered my true passion: supporting my community and empowering parents to be strong advocates for their students. That experience showed me that education is not just a profession—it’s a calling, and I’m grateful to have found mine.
I work at EVA because I believe the future of education is changing and virtual education is helping transform lives—not just for students, but for entire families. Growing up, my parents worked long hours and often struggled to navigate the school system, despite wanting the best for us. That experience fuels my vision for EVA: a school where families are not just welcomed, but actively supported and empowered. I want to guide parents in understanding how to support their students in an online environment, helping them become confident advocates for their children’s success. Having watched my two nieces thrive in online schools, I know firsthand the potential of this model when paired with strong support systems.
As a leader, I strive to show up with compassion, clarity, and purpose—building strong relationships and fostering a community where every family feels seen, supported, and equipped to succeed. I am committed to empowering my staff with the tools, guidance, and encouragement they need to show up fully for their families, and to intentionally create spaces where authentic connection and trust can grow. Together, we cultivate a culture of care and collaboration that strengthens our entire school community.
As I always say "I am a text or chat away when needed!"
