Ms. McGannon

Welcome to Advisory class! My name is Taryn (/ˈtɛərɪn/ TAIR-in /ˈtærɪn/ TARR-in) McGannon and I will be your Advisory and English teacher for this school year. 

My role as your advisor is to help students set and reach their goals and overcome any obstacles they may encounter. My intention is to mentor, motivate, and teach students strategies and techniques to enable them to feel successful and confident in their learning while at Ednovate and beyond. And as your English instructor, I commit to bringing joy and holding every student accountable. Students will be expected to be their best selves, try their hardest, and put 100% effort into their school work. I have a strong belief in every student's ability to be both academically amazing and personally wonderful. As a student, I expect you to bring your very best self, every single day. We never know what someone else is going through- and we are all going through things all the time!-  so always be kind (to yourself and others!) Be positive with yourself. Be positive with your peers. Commit to doing school work each day and give yourself grace. Online learning comes with its own challenges and everyone learns differently; together we will find a structure and schedule that works best for you.  I look forward to working with you, teaching and learning from you, and helping you become the best version of yourself!
