Mr. Flores

Hello! My name is Mr. Flores, and I will be entering this SY26 as the Assistant Principal of Instruction. I am a huge fan of the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling (I have been to 17 countries), drawing, listening to music, watching anime, playing video games, and just talking about life in general.  

This year for our EVA Owls, I want us to double down on the things that already make our school great: our people, our culture, and how deeply we believe in our students and each other. At the same time, we need to push ourselves to revamp how we approach interventions, especially Study Hall, and build up our students with learning differences and Multilingual Learners departments so we can continue supporting every student, no matter their background or situation. My vision is a school where everyone, teachers, students, and families, feel comfortable being who they are, know what they need to succeed, and feel part of a community built on love, care, and accountability.

Lastly, this year I want to show up every day with a mindset of learning and growth. I welcome feedback and want to be clear that I’m learning on the job (just like we all are), and that’s how we get better. I want to lead by being real: vulnerable, accountable, and always grounded in the idea that we’re a team rowing in the same direction. No one’s bigger than the mission, and good things come when we communicate, respect each other, and keep pushing ourselves. We don’t settle. We grow. And most importantly, we do it together. If we lean in, this will be our best year yet.
